Attention Everyone. The Cultural Awareness Club will have the final potluck of the year this Sunday at 6PM at Mr. Brown's church. With an International Theme, any food goes. We will have a few guest speakers, lots of food, and an opportunity for anybody to share and learn about their culture. Cultural Awareness Club members will be handing out invitations so if you would like one, see Mr. Brown, Alex Belaia or any of the other members. Thank you. Go Eagles and hope to see everyone there.

Come one, come all to Earth Fair 2012! The Environmental Club is hosting an Earthfair on Wednesday, May 22 during 11 period and after school in the Eagles Room. Come by and learn how you can help the Earth. We will have important information about recycling, your carbon footprint, and how you can make the earth a greener place. Come one, come all! They will have snow cones and give aways! Stop in. Be Green!

This past weekend in Baltimore at the National Cooking Competition, the Polaris Culinary Team that includes NOHS students Captain Ian McCaffrey, Ben Moorman, Allie Shoemaker and a Midpark student placed THIRD in the nation. These students have won $277,500 in scholarship money from various contests this year. Congratulations to all team members!

Please make sure to check your mailbox daily as the AP Stats students are relying on you to be prompt. Please return all completed surveys to Mrs. Caso at your earliest convenience. They may be placed in the boxes conveniently located in themailroom, the 900-hall workroom, or on her desk in the 300-hall workroom. THANK YOU for your patience!

You may be one of the lucky people who have been randomly chosen to participate in a survey. The survey is part of a student project in AP Statistics. Only the students conducting the study and Mrs. Caso (and perhaps the teacher to whom you return the form) will see your responses on the survey. Most of the surveys are short and will only take a minute (or less) to complete. These surveys are very important for the statistical studies being done. PLEASE participate!

Hey, you Robeks lovers! Robeks is coming to NOHS! This Friday bring $4 to the 600 hall in front of the gym doors and pick up your Robeks smoothie! Student Council is offering Outrageous Raspberry and Strawnana Berry during 11th period and after school.

There wil be a Northeast Ohio Military Academies Informational Seminar on Saturday from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Horizon Science Academy on Marginal Road in Cleveland. An RSVP is necessary. AfterProm needs a baby picture for each of you as soon as possible for our baby board wall. Please put in an envelope, label with your name and return to the AfterProm mailbox in the main office. Don't forget to have your parents sign the emergency contact and code of conduct form and return that ASAP as well. Remember, all seniors are welcome at the AfterProm, even if you are not attending the prom.

Congratulations to North Olmsted’s Model United Nations Team on their successful conference last week. North Olmsted delegates worked hard at researching and representing their respective nations and they deserve to be commended for their efforts. Six students received awards for exceptional committee performance. In particular, representing Saudi Arabia, MJ Esambe and Tara Mooney won superior delegation, the highest award a delegation can earn. Kudos to members of the Model UN club for their efforts.

Attention juniors and seniors! Getting into college just got a little bit easier. ACT prep classes will be held weekly, starting Wednesday at Polaris. The new 5-week course will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. College bound students can boost their ACT scores to compete for top colleges and scholarship dollars. Learn new tips and skills. Attention EVERYBODY. Cultural Awareness Club will be having its newest potluck. The potluck will be Greek themed so bring your baklava, chill, and maybe even learn some cool facts about the Greeks.
